My life so far and the video production module this sem

I have been busy with school work lately.
I had successfully balloted for a video production module in my January semester at UniSIM and my free time during this period has been taken up by planning shoots and physically going around filming stuff.
The classes were already a killer (the venue is at Creative Tech in Jurong and I live in Kembangan?!?!) and not to say the classes are on Thursdays; so another downer, and usually after classes, my team would travel out for supper and discussions for our video shoot.
The great thing about this module and all is that I learnt new things and made new and really good friends, not to forget some of the superbly cool places for filming, like this air plane hangar in Seletar:

A super expensive jet liner in front of the Seletar Airport
One of the planes used for one of the Aviation courses offered by the University
My team mate, Salemah; trying out on the airplane simulator
Hands-on the throttle!
I got Salemah to pose for me in the plane
Jeremy in front of the air plane hangar
Salemah posing on another plane used by the Aviation course
Jeremy in the air plane simulator

I wasn’t that adventurous compared to my mates who got hands-on with the simulator. One of the simulator screen was out and the trainer didn’t want to use it for long, so I sort of spared him the hassle.
Also I am obese, and I know the weight limits of those actual small planes; I definitely don’t want to spoil any of those precious and expensive toys.

The only bad thing was that, we were not selected for the best video award.

Humphz! Having a competitive brain all the time is exhausting. But that’s another story.

The University has CONVENIENTLY ride on to this module to help them create corporate videos for them. Laising with the allocated faculty professors were a huge hassle, for we have to work by their schedules and eventhough they didn’t really help much (I was fortunate to know of friends who work in the University to help me), they still came around at the end of the course to bite us in our arses.
To think I have to pay for the module to get the grade. Geez.. I hate such “taking advantage of” situations.

To cut the long story short, You can read all about it here on this blog I had setup specifically for my module shannigans…

Anyway, I’m so glad it’s finally over.

Anyhoos, here’s the video I had done for my final project for the production module:

After all the sheebangs and geezwhiz, life came back to normal and onward to the exam hall. The paper turns out sucky and I am fearful over this one paper’s grade that I might fail myself this semester. I am just crossing my fingers and hope the bell curve is “curving” to my favour.

And all that was just for the month of May.
I thought June has just started and wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee now it’s almost the end of the month.
Besides busying myself with work for a special term semester ( I too work in a local University, I study in another) I also had been busy designing and laying out a new edition of a handbook /magazine that is given out to the incoming Summer Programme foreign students during the programme.
And I love to be involve in this programme because the in-charge (incidentally also my unit director) gives me the freedom to scratch my designing and photography/videography itch.
I look forward to this programme every year in the line of my work.
AWESOME~ ~

I wanna talk more about the programme, but I think I shall leave it to another entry.

More stories soon!
