Been a hectic week since school started, peak period at work which equates to a lot of work at work; plus many events to attend which means loads of photos to go through. I have been asked by a very close friend to help photograph her dog’s birthday over the last weekend and I had agreed to do so.
Her dog’s name is Nini and celebrating her 15th (human years) birthday. A very senior dame really. My close friend, Jn, held Nini’s birthday at Club July at Stagmont Road, a outback chill out place with a small mini run for the dogs. Although it was still slightly drizzling that day, all of us had a lot of fun.
While taking the photographs of these cute dogs, I realised that owners love to make their dogs pose, hold their heads, or try to catch their attention by standing behind me so that I can capture them facing me.
Not sure if that is a norm, but I do prefer to wait patiently and let the dogs react to me naturally so that the photo itself is much more natural.
Here are some photos I took that day:

I’m amazed by how it is so clever to come up with the idea of dog bakeries as local pet owners are more open to the idea to celebrate their pets’ birthday. These pupcakes are made with ingredients like chicken, pumpkin and fish! They don’t look like it!!
The designs are so cute as well!! It took me a couple of shots to realised that the cakes were topped with a paw print made with corn with some food purée.
